    School Policy

Within the resources available the school will aim to develop each child to his or her full potential in all areas of life, be it physical, mental, spiritual or social, through a wide variety of activities, experiences and challenges, so that he or she will be an independent and a confident individual with positive attitudes and a caring awareness of his or her community and environment and an aesthetic appreciation of the things around him or her.

As you can see the policy is concerned with the whole child and not purely upon exam results or the three "R's". Our teaching is an attempt to fulfill this policy with activities and experiences carefully chosen to achieve specific aims. Besides the knowledge and facts the children learn we want to develop positive attitudes within the children that will benefit them for life. We hope that children will leave Millington with a desire to learn and during their time here we endeavor to equip them with the skill and confidence to try things for themselves without fear of failure. We want to get the best from each child and not simply look for what some might call  the "best" children.
